The mission of the Exercise Science Graduate program is to foster a transformational educational experience through the delivery of excellent academic instruction coupled with high level research for the enhancement of the human condition. We provide discipline-specific coursework and experiences to prepare our students for professional careers and future academic development in exercise science and related fields.
Through applied laboratory experiences, our students gain valuable skills that contribute to the health and well-being of society. Faculty mentored graduate-level research enhances the educational experience by advancing new knowledge and addressing societal needs through creativity and scientific innovation.
We provide our students with opportunities for professional development (i.e. conference presentations) and support practical application of research-based knowledge (i.e. Internship experiences) to create solutions for regional and national problems.
We aspire to further enhance our reputation as a leader in the field of exercise science and continue our trajectory of excellence by developing graduate students that are known leaders in their respective fields.
